Enjambment as a fun house mirror . . .

lines jostling for the part

of winter . . . time racing to infinity

following the path

with yesterday’s metric

as if renting a

Royal Enfield Himalayan

for the last stretch to the base

where some gear junkie

is touting approach shoes

redirecting you to Kierkegaard

on simple living, resilience,

and closeness to nature . . .

walking as philosophy,

as physical training, as refutation . . .

how you felt a shift

in your chaotic whirlwind,

what next life,

when a voice told you to slow down,

and you listened, you listened . . .
